So the Utopia guys and I were thinking, every time the Mindcrack guys do a season of UHC, somebody always mentions the idea of a modded UHC, but it always gets shot down by UHC regulars because it would "take too long". Me being an experienced UHC and Modded player, I don't think that's the case. We don't have to use the tech mods that everybody thinks about when Modded MC is mentioned. In fact, I personally discourage that, unless of course that mod contains game-changing weapons/armor that wouldn't take very long to make so long as you have the resources available.
Right now, we need your input for which mods could work in this "Modded UHC Modpack" we want to create. Every idea is welcome, and if your suggestion isn't solely a PVP based mod, please provide some kind of explanation of which items from that mod could be useful, and how easy or hard they'd be to make. I'll keep the OP updated with all of the ideas you guys come up with.
NOTE: I HAVE NOT CHECKED IF ANY OF THE POSSIBLE MODS WILL HAVE CONFLICTS WITH EACH OTHER OR THE SERVER YET. THAT IS WHY THEY ARE LABELED AS "POSSIBLE" MODS AT THIS POINT. Possible Mods:
1. Balkon's Weapon Mod 2. More Armor Mod (might be imbalanced, needs testing) 3. Backpacks 4. CHOCOLATE QUEST. MODS FOR THE ADVENTURERS (needs testing to see how strong the mobs are) 5. (omitted because too OP) 6. More Swords Mod 7. Tinker's 8. OpenBlocks 9. AtomicStryker's BattleTowers (Maybe. I want them to be about as rare as temples/villages are in vanilla) 10. Biomes o Plenty 11. NEI 12. CodeChickenCore 13. Doge Mod (Very doge, so stronger than diamond, wow) 14. Forge (duh) 15. Mo' Creatures (Maybe) 16. Obsidian Boat 17. Parachute Mod 18. Quiverbow 19. Ropes + 20. Yet Another Food Mod 21. Pam's Harvestcraft 22. Archimedes ships? Maybe?
Also have a possible extension of the original modpack called "nightmare" or "hardcore" mode that uses mods that make the PVE part of the game harder.
Also maybe leadstone jetpacks craftable with a golden apple instead of normal energy stuff, and charge it with gold/gold apples.

A normal UHC played by regulars usually lasts around two hours, with a required meetup at 0,0 90 minutes in. When that 90 minute timer is up, you are required to go to 0,0, and you aren't allowed to stop for anything. Going to list my opinions of the mods you posted in the same order: 1. Eh, not a huge fan. I feel like it might be imbalanced, but that will only be found out by testing. [maybe] 2. Makes the PvE element way too difficult. I'd like to keep that element as close to Vanilla difficulty as possible. [no] 3. I don't see a problem with being able to carry more loot, especially when these mods will add more loot. [yes] 4. That would be very cool to have, but we'll need to test if the mobs it adds would be too difficult to deal with. [maybe] 5. This could be a fun addition. We would probably have to put a restriction on the placement of traps though (eg don't dig a giant hole all around you, camouflage it, and just mindlessly stand in the middle so people fall to their deaths sword rushing you). [yes with possible rule restrictions] And a yes to the More Swords Mod. Any other suggestions from other people are always welcome. I'm having a hard time finding the time to do some research myself

Added OpenBlocks specifically for the hang glider, since I think a faster mean of transportation is important here. Any more suggestions from you guys? This doesn't necessarily doesn't need to have a lot of mods before we can put it together and test it, but I'd like there to be enough for plenty of extra strategic options.
And I added a ton more after browsing the Mod List. This looks like it is ready to be packaged into a modpack and tested, but first I want to wait for any more possible suggestions.

im not sure about modded uhc's like those. theres a subreddit im sure you know of, r/ultrahardcore, that have gametypes based on mods that do relatively little compared to the mods you said. Take Moles. What it does is select one person from each team to be the mole. They are then able to choose which kit to get. After that, its just a matter of working with the other moles on the other teams while trying to kill your "teammates" without getting caught. Itt doesnt change any game mechanics like food or armor, or even weapons. It just gives team games an extra kick. THATS what i want to see the mindcrackers do.

I play games on /r/ultrahardcore pretty regularly, and I know exactly what you're talking about. The thing is, those are plugins that they use. What I'm proposing is a modpack that adds new items, etc. and therefore new possible strategies and ways to play the game. Those are two completely different things.

It will happen, and us Utopia guys will do one or two seasons testing the Beta pack before final corrections are made and we release it (if we are able to without copyright nonsense that is). I still haven't come anywhere near finishing the first version of the pack, nor will I be able to in about two weeks once this semester of school is over. Then after that I'll have to start packing everything I own to move again. Oh the joy of being a college student .-.

mDog what i mean by if it dose hapen is there a way to join i mean with you guys not on a different server and any way why dont you fo it on the adventure update on the utopia server just make a mystcraft age doubble the world size then a normal Uhc and do the Modded UHC there <---- onley do if you arnt gon to inite people to play it with you guys ells some grifers may apply sorry for long post

Secondly, we as a server will do two or three seasons for beta testing before we officially release the pack for everybody else to try out.
