Do you guys feel that Dartcraft is overpowered or what is your opinion of it?

It's definitely overpowered, but I think that's the point of these mods, to be overpowered. I like it anyway

Meh, never really used dartcraft. I much prefer the speed of mekanism and how stupidly cheap power generation and storage is, then realising how crazily hard it is to get ore quadrupling... Despite the horrible TPS leaks DNS has been experiencing with mekanism, it's great on my private TPPI server alongside gregtech etc!

Thanks Dave, Been messing around with dartcraft here and there since posting last. Seem to be a good mod, little OP in places though.
Thanks again

I find some parts of Dartcraft really nice and useful (the IC2 replacement machines) but some seem to only cause problems... (time torches) I don't think it really fits in if the pack has Gregtech, except possibly on the easiest settings.

Never been a fan of Gregtech, but that's another story for another thread lol
I've used time torches, but only for a mob grinder in the nether to get wither skulls faster. Find a Nether fort place cursed dirt, black out, also use openblock fans and blow them into the Spikes, and collect drops with good old hoppers. Using them for anything can cause problems.
But some of the other tools like the force wrench, when u what to carry a chest around, for extra inventory space is pretty cool.

But some of the other tools like the force wrench, when u what to carry a chest around, for extra inventory space is pretty cool. The biggest problem with any item or set of items that change the world without registering as the player doing it (force wrench, crane, spells etc.) is that they bypass any protection system. They are really useful for many things, but sadly aren't safe to leave available on a non-raiding server.

Yeah I agree it, is a big problem and it always will be, I remember playing Tekkit Classic and all the problems that mod had with tools and items that would bypass grief protection , when you have nasty players that will do stuff like that, and I did unfortunately be a victim by these ppl, along ago. Which is why I would always say to everyone only ever play on servers which are whitelisted like utopia with other youtuber's or play on a server with your friends that you trust. But even these aren't 100% safe. There's always 1 or 2 which take things to far.

Hehe, on that note someone managed to use a crane to move everything in my house outside of the protection, then use mekanism cardboard boxes to pack it up and walk off - what they left behind though was the huge and obvious trace of placing and breaking a huge number of cardboard boxes just outside my house. They were actually online at the time, so I publicly banned them for the theft off an admin. We don't actually have many problems until people realise that some things can't be traced by Prism and go round using them to cause problems. Sorry about getting off topic, but it does link a bit to how overpowered some things in DartCraft are.

But yeah, there's always going to be people that can find out how to 'bend' the system, which is why things like Dartcraft, cranes and cardboard boxes get removed and/or banned, which ruins it for the rest of us which what to us things like the force wrench for what it's intended for, either to move base's / home or to go mining with two or more diamond chest and get everything in sight without having to worry about inventory space.
But such is the world(s) of minecraft.
