THIS ANNOUNCEMENT SHOULD BE TREATED AS POTENTIAL - NOT FULLY AGREED YET
I'd like to get your feeling on the idea that we could have a Utopia Open Day once per month.
This would be a time period of 24hrs that the server was open to Forum members only.
The whitelist would include the names of the forum members who are interested in joining us.
Forum members would be welcome a access the Utopia Modpack Client files.
Download the pack from our Dropbox, just the same as the Youtubers of Utopia.
This would allow you to also keep a copy of the pack upto date on your client, and update it when we do.
During Open Days, we cant promise that your favourite youtuber from Utopia will be there when you are...
but there is plenty of us who will try to make an effort to be online on the server during the open day.
Expect Tours of the Server, visit bases and perhaps see some of us hanging out in our homes.
There may be Livestreams, and recording going on that will appear on youtube with you in videos.
We may also be able to set up Teamspeak so that those of you allow access to the server on open days,
will also be able to join the live chat and get the full experience on the Server with us.
I think that to restrict the numbers of people who wish to attend the open days, the forum members of a
certain level would qualify... lets say after 10 posts.. just to stop anyone coming, saying "hi" and getting on.
Hope you guys give this a little more thought in this thread and post your ideas below.

Nice idea! Really love it, sadly enough I have literally a CRAPtop so I don't even think I would be able to download the pack without crashing my PC. But for the other people who absolutely have BEAST computers it would be awsome! Still would like the TS  ! |

This could be great! Oh and make it 10 posts and a certain time - 2 weeks perhaps? Anyway, if I can handle 212 mods and get 40 fps (DNS of course), I'm sure Utopia will be fine on my PC |

I like the idea a lot. Like Davedude said though, maybe add a required membership time on the forums as well, at least one or two weeks.

It would make maintenance easier We are working on the permissions of the mod creators hopefully we can get something like that sorted, you can guess the problem we are facing, hehe its a big pack lots of mods and mod add-on's. I will ask one of the guys to put an instruction video here |

Another idea I thought of was that; if a youtuber wants to record, he can choose if he wants to be alone or if he wants company. Neh, yeah. Just a thought. Otherwise, sounds amazing.
Or another pack, more user friendly. For those who doesn't have beast computers. And then have a mystcraft world, or even a quantum portal to another server! OR?

A Youtuber CAN choose. He can play in a single player world, or a multiplayer world.

1. There are other packs, here we play the Utopia Pack.
2. Even my 5 Year old computer runs Utopia Pack fine.
3. Myscraft worlds cannot support more mods. As they would be running on the same server
4. Quantum Portals can only connect clients to servers running the same set of mods.
5. We can currently use Quantum portals to move to a different server if we so desire. (they do have to run the entire Utopia Pack)
6. OR?!? OR WHAT?!

Cool idea! An open day is really hard for the server owner but it's worth trying. I did one a year ago and it was fun for our server we've even collected some members. So very interested in this. And Best wishes from Hungary!
